The Paradise LINKS program is unique in the local area.
The LINKS Program is a transition connection or ‘link’ between preschool and school. LINKS is conducted on Friday mornings in term 4 prior to Reception students commencing school the following year. The program is conducted by the Reception teachers and supported by an SSO and a parent volunteer.
Sessions are held Fridays 8.50am – 11:50am. Links provides children with a formal and extended transition program and offers familiarisation with the school environment and routines. The focus is developing social connections, school readiness behaviours and attitudes plus offering each child the opportunity to immerse themselves in Paradise School life and connect strongly with our community.
Children in the links program will engage in classroom and outdoor activities to enrich their early literacy and numeracy skills and build their confidence and esteem.
The LINKS program has limited spaces, so it is essential to reserve your child’s place.
Priority entry is given to children who are enrolled at Paradise Primary School. The cost of the program is $70.00 for the term, which includes a parent handbook and a child’s library bag. Most children who start Reception at Paradise Primary School participate in LINKS.
